Welcome to South Side Baptist Church!

We work to strengthen families, develop youth with character, deliver clear Biblical teaching and tell the world about the good news of Jesus Christ.

We provide an environment where those who know Christ can encourage each other and build new friendships and where those who don’t yet know Christ can hear of His great love and gift of eternal life.

Adults

From monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfasts and Ladies’ Bible Studies, to to singing in choir and playing in the orchestra, to the Men’s Softball League and other various activities throughout the year, there are many opportunities to connect with others and get involved.

Children

We provide age appropriate activities to encourage spiritual growth such as Nursery, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Kids4Truth, Vacation Bible School, Kids Basketball Club, Camp Horizon, and more!

Teens

We use the unique aspects of the youth ministry to reach young people for the Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen families, and serve in the local church. We have monthly activities, go to summer camp, Bible studies, and outreach opportunities.

School

South Side Baptist School exists to train the next generation of Christian young people to effectively communicate the Word of God wherever they go. It provides an outstanding Christ-centered education from a dedicated staff for students from K3-12^th grade.

We strongly believe in the importance of fulfilling the Great Commission through missions. We support missionaries throughout the world that take the gospel message to unreached people. You can help our missions ministry by

Praying

Missionaries need prayer in he areas of their personal spiritual life, family life, victory over sin, physical health, successful evangelism and everyday problems and stresses.

Giving

Donations and financial gifts are always helpful, but so are cards, notes, and care packages.

Going

In your neighborhood, across the country, and around the world, there are people who need to hear the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. You are never to young or too old to serve the Lord!

Our Missionaries

In 1975 South Side Baptist Church was burdened to start a Christian school; an institution that would provide an excellent scholastic program, with a strong foundations of biblical truth. To simply build an academic framework would not develop the Christ-like spirit which scripture demands. Therefore, South Side Baptist School has endeavored to draw each student into a proper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. That relationship begins with salvation and is evidenced by heart of service.

With a strong academic structure, reinforced with a proper environment, and taught through the light of God’s Word, young people of Christian character can be developed. With this purpose in mind, we constantly work with individual concern for each child realizing the importance and potential of each and every student.

SSBS Open House

If you are interested in Christian education come by our school open houses. They will be held Thursday, March 21, 9 am to 2 pm and 6:30 pm to 8 pm, and on Wednesday, April 3 from 9 am to 2 pm. You will have an opportunity to meet our teachers and tour our building.

Spring Revival Meetings

The Galkin Evangelistic Team will be holding revival services with us April 28 through May 3.
